Things to do with dogs in Vancouver: Canadians’ Annual Dog Day of Summer

Watch Baseball with Your Doggy In Vancouver

Did you know you can bring your dog to a baseball game in Vancouver every summer at the Canadians’ annual Dog Day of Summer? According to a dog we interviewed outside of Scotiabank Theatre in downtown, dogs like watching baseball as it includes their two favourite things: “hotdogs and balls.”

There’s a new twist this year though at this event – the Vancouver Canadians and Petcurean Pet Nutrition are holding a Dress Like Your Pet Contest at the Nat.

All canines are welcome to accompany their owners to Vancouver’s legendary sports stadium this night. There will be all of the regular amenities the Nat usually has to offer, along with complimentary water stations to provide your pooch with proper hydration all game long. There will also be three-foot-long hot dogs, which pretty much sounds like the best thing ever.

For the contest, show up to the Nat dressed like your dog and stop by the Petcurean tent between 6-7.15pm, to have your picture taken and enter the contest. Winners will be announced at the bottom of the 7th inning and prizes will be given out!
