Many have wondered how Max packs away so much water in his tiny, beautiful frame.
Some have wondered if he has 20 bladders, others have given up asking because in life some questions have no answers.
The fact however remains that Max likes to pee, and for Max to pee on every tree in Yaletown, he needs water – a lot of it.
That’s why we were thrilled when PetSafe sent us a Drinkwell® Sedona Pet Fountain priced at $129.99. We also had the revelation that Max will now be drinking filtered water from this beautiful new water fountain – and we will be drinking from the tap like common folk. But that’s a conversation for another day.
The low down on the Drinkwell® Sedona Pet Fountain
The lime green fountain holds an amazing three litres of water and filters it using a cool carbon filter. It also has this cool foam thing in the filter that traps hair and dirt.
Set up
Set up took about 10 minutes, and we needed the help of our French friend Hafida to do it as Max couldn’t figure out how to put it together himself.

So I pee in the box? Is this how this works?

Stand back Max. Hafida has got this.
What Max thought of the Dog Water Fountain
Once we had finished setting up the water fountain Max stared at it for a while. We then removed his regular water dish, and he dunked his head into the bowl of the water fountain and drank from it. In two days he realized he is supposed to drink from the top of the fountain.

What is this momma?
The results of filtered water for dogs
Max LOVES the water fountain. I notice he drinks way more water now at a time, probably because it’s so easy to drink from the top of the fountain and maybe he even likes the taste more of filtered water. It’s also super quiet and holds soooo much water compared to a regular water dish so we don’t have to worry about refilling it for a while.
Amazing job PetSafe with this water fountain!
