Review of PetSafe Remote Spray Trainer
Since the pandemic started, Maxipoo stopped going to doggie daycare. Initially this went well. He played Playstation. Farted. And used a new dog bed as a head massager.
Then one day Max got bored, and started barking excessively.
Eventually Max’s barking got out of hand where he was sprinting after giant dogs and barking. He was also barking at all delivery men. I realized something had to change for Max’s safety and for the peace of humanity.
I therefore contacted my friends at PetSafe and asked if we could try a PetSafe Remote Spray Trainer.
PetSafe Remote Spray Trainer: The benefits
Max has tried two spray trainers before, and he cleverly learned how to bark at a quieter level to not set them off. That’s why we liked this trainer – it is controlled by a button that the human presses.
This trainer also has three different settings, a sound, vibration (NOT a shock), and a citronella OR scentless spray. We stuck with the spray or the sound.
Did the PetSafe Remote Spray Trainer work?
Surprisingly yes. Max stopped barking right away. What is good about this trainer is that I can control it, so I can make sure it goes off only when it’s meant to.
One suggestion I have is to use this on middle sized or larger dogs as the neck piece may be slightly heavy for a little dog to wear continuously. OR only put it on your little dog for a few minutes. For Max, these few minutes were enough to train him. We are going to use it once every week for a few minutes as a refresher for him, but so far we are super happy with the results. Thanks so much PetSafe! This has helped a lot 🙂
